An excellent news for the scholars and policy-makers in water policy and politics is that the new Oxford Handbook of Water Politics and Policy is contracted and currently in progress to be published in 2015! Most excitingly, this is the first edition of such a high profile Handbook in the field of Water Policy and Politics and will most likely become a flagship publication with great impact on scholarship and policy.
Edited by well-known water scholars dr. Ken Conca of American University and Erika Weinthal of Duke University, the team to write the Handbook include such renowned water scholars as Louis Lebel from Chiang Mai University, Helen Ingram from UC Irvine, Margaret Wilder from University of Arizona, Tony Allan of KCL, Tushaar Shah of IWMI, Peter Gleick of the Pacific Institute, Peter Mollinga from SOAS, Patricia Wouters from UNESCO and Dundee University, Karen Bakker from UBC, Andrea Gerlak of University of Arizona and many others. It is a great honour and privilege for your humble servant (Farhad Mukhtarov of ADA University) to have been invited to join this dream-team and author a chapter on “Policy Translation of Water Models” in this corner-stone publication! This is a great opportunity for making the policy translation approach more visible and accepted in the water world. Look out for the book next year!
